{"id":1801,"date":"2015-05-20T07:09:36","date_gmt":"2015-05-20T07:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fiaedc.edrspro.com\/?p=1801"},"modified":"2015-05-20T07:09:36","modified_gmt":"2015-05-20T07:09:36","slug":"pro-stock-car-preview-main-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/2015\/05\/20\/pro-stock-car-preview-main-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Pro Stock Car &#8211; Preview Main Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/edrspro.com\/?attachment_id=1702\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-nsm-1-1702\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fiaedc.edrspro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/FIAECpreview_PS_alund-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jimmy \u00c5lund<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Jimmy \u00c5lund is coming to Santa Pod as the racer with both the number one plate and the most recent full race experience.\u00a0 Jimmy raced the first six races of the NHRA season in a KB Racing entry.\u00a0 No Wally this year for Jimmy, but the lessons he has learned in the biggest Pro-Stock fields in the world will certainly be valuable.\u00a0 No news regarding additional sponsorship for Jimmy, but We understand that Exclusive Cars along with Klintberg and Way remain as title sponsors.\u00a0 Jimmy&#8217;s only aim will be to keep the number one plate, and only an event win at every round will guarantee that.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/edrspro.com\/?attachment_id=1705\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-nsm-1-1705\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-nsm-1-1705 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/fiaedc.edrspro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/FIAECpreview_PS_petersson-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pro-Stock 2 this year is the car of Magnus Petersson.\u00a0 Magnus retains driver duties (so far) but his son Martin is pressing hard to get in the seat.\u00a0 Magnus has invested in some engine refreshing over the closed season and will be keen on the lights which will make him a formidable adversary again this year.\u00a0 Magnus has some horsepower under the hood, and he is keen on the lights.\u00a0 He ran Jimmy all the way to the final last year at a couple of events, so expect to see the number 2 car challenging again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/edrspro.com\/fia-registered-drivers\/ps-michael-malmgren\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-nsm-1-1504\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-nsm-1-1504 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/fiaedc.edrspro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/3-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"146\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a>Michael Malmgren will race in Santa Pod with long term sponsors Oakley.\u00a0 Michael will not be content with third place and will be looking to add further event wins to the Alastaro victory he enjoyed in 2014.\u00a0Michael has had a whole year with the new car and has sorted out how to tune it for the\u00a0different tracks on the tour.\u00a0 Michael can upset the lead runners, and we should expect him to try.\u00a0 Never discount Michael, he is after all the highest points scorer in the history of European championships.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-nsm-1-1703 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/fiaedc.edrspro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/FIAECpreview_PS_lindstrom-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/>Thomas Lindstr\u00f6m and team\u00a0are proud to have Ernryd Cars and Hansen Racing returning for 2015 as title sponsors. New for this year is Bj\u00f6rnbergs \u00e5keri,\u00a0 whilst Wrapzone, dk lyft, Navterra, verkstadspartner and protools stay on board as proud partners. Thomas and Roffe have been hard at work through the winter and believe that if they have &#8220;done their homework&#8221; correctly, then they will be both quick and fast at Santa Pod.\u00a0 The 2013 champion is not to be discounted.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-nsm-1-1509 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/fiaedc.edrspro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/4209-230x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"220\" \/>Simon Gustafsson\u00a0has a couple of new sponsors, G\u00f6thes industribeslag, Axs nordic, Glas &amp; Bygg, Geze Scandinavia, J\u00e4rlebys m\u00e5leri.\u00a0 The team also has some engine work completed by Larry Morgan. Simon is planning to run the whole season this year.
