Erbacher claimed her number one qualifying position in a stunning new European record of 3.817 seconds and also reset the European speed record to 513.31 km\/h. <\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Perfect track conditions made the second day of qualifying of the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena one to remember, as there were numerous improvements and personal bests in all categories of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. In Top Fuel two European records were reset and many 3-second runs were recorded, while in Pro Modified no fewer than nine drivers qualified with an elapsed time in the 5-second zone.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/erbacher2_srei19q2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16983\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/erbacher2_srei19q2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"397\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/erbacher2_srei19q2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/erbacher2_srei19q2-300x221.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In her first run of the day Jndia Erbacher, Friday\u2019s number three qualifier, stormed to a stunning 3.817 seconds at 513.31 km\/h to reset the European elapsed time and speed record and claim the number one qualifying position.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/makela2_srei19q2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16989\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/makela2_srei19q2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/makela2_srei19q2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/makela2_srei19q2-300x189.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Championship leader Anita M\u00e4kel\u00e4 improved to 3.82 seconds, but couldn\u2019t match Erbacher\u2019s time and dropped into the number two position. Stig Neergaard, Friday\u2019s number two qualifier, dropped into the fifth position, with Tethys sixth, Mikael K\u00e5gered seventh and Timo Lehtim\u00e4ki eighth.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ericsson2_srei19q1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10591\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ericsson2_srei19q1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Pro Modified Jan Ericsson remained the number one qualifier, but the championship leader had to record a much quicker elapsed time to claim that position. The Swede stormed to a stunning new personal best of 5.805 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/gullqvist2_srei19q2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16981\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/gullqvist2_srei19q2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"328\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/gullqvist2_srei19q2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/gullqvist2_srei19q2-300x182.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Michael Gullqvist improved to 5.81 seconds to remain in second position. Jimmy \u00c5lund, yesterday\u2019s number 18, improved to 5.83 seconds to jump into the number three position, while David Vegter, yesterday\u2019s number 17, improved to 5.846 seconds to claim the number four position.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/alundpm_srei19q2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16987\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/alundpm_srei19q2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/alundpm_srei19q2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/alundpm_srei19q2-300x192.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Andreas Arthursson finished qualifying in fifth position with an almost identical time as Vegter. Jere Rantaniemi, Mats Eriksson, Roger Johansson (yesterday\u2019s number three qualifier) and Kim Kristiansen also recorded an 5.9-second elapsed time and claimed the numbers six up to nine qualifying positions. Jimmy \u00c5lund stormed to a stunning 6.48 seconds and remained the number one qualifier.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/ljungdahl2_srei19q2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16977\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/ljungdahl2_srei19q2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"318\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/ljungdahl2_srei19q2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/ljungdahl2_srei19q2-300x177.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bengt Ljungdahl, yesterday\u2019s number two, improved as well, recorded a great 6.55 seconds and finished qualifying in second position.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/lindstrom_srei19q2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16978\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/lindstrom_srei19q2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/lindstrom_srei19q2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/fiaedc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/08\/lindstrom_srei19q2-300x193.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thomas Lindstr\u00f6m surprised, and with 6.58 seconds the former champion was the next driver with a run in the 6.5 seconds. In his last run Stefan Ernryd improved to 6.59 seconds to jump into the number four position, with Michael Malmgren fifth and Sampsa Palos sixth.
