Jami Oksanen keeps the EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Gas Bike title in Finland

It seems like the Super Gas Bike category of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship is Finnish territory. With Jami Oksanen, the 9.5-second index class had its third consecutive champion from Finland. The 19-year-old rider won two out of four races and finished the season with a runner-up spot at Tierp Arena, to claim the title with an 18-point gap over Ellen Ødegaard from Norway. Mathias Bohlin from surprise winner to convincing EDRS Pro Nordic MC SSB champion

When you finish the 2017 EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Street Bike championship in twelfth position, you are not the favourite to win the 2018 title. That suddenly changed when Mathias Bohlin won the opening round at Tierp Arena in June and took another victory in round number two at Alastaro. Game, set, match and championship for Anita Mäkelä

There is no one who knows better than Anita Mäkelä that past performance is no guarantee for future results. After claiming her second FIA European Top Fuel title in 2016, the 2017 season was filled with early exits, mechanical problems and the number five spot in the championship. But in 2018 the Finnish fan favourite and her team bounced back in an extremely dominant way by claiming the title with three race wins, one runner-up spot, two semi-final finishes and a 131-point advantage in the final points standing. Resetting the European ET record in the penultimate and final race of the season added the icing on the cake for the champion. Continue reading

Marcus Christiansen’s first full season in Super Twin Motorcycle could hardly have been any better. The 24-year-old Dane claimed the 2018 EDRS Pro Nordic MC title and the FIM Europe European title as well. Being probably the smallest team in the pits, the hard work of the family run squad paid off with race wins, records and titles. And because the competition in Super Twin Motorcycle is close and tough, the Danish team will spend the winter improving their championship winning bike. Continue reading
