Friday leaders Tommy Grimes, Rikard Gustafsson, Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund stay in the number one position after final qualifying for the Tierp Internationals

Tommy Grimes

There were no changes in the names of the number one qualifiers after Saturday qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena. So in Top Fuel Motorcycle Rikard Gustafsson claimed the number one position for tomorrow’s eliminations, while in Super Twin Motorcycle, Pro Stock Motorcycle and Super Street Bike Tommy Grimes, Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund also stayed in the number one position and will lead their respective categories into tomorrow’s eliminations.

It was another great day of racing at Tierp Arena for the Tierp Internationals, round number one of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. There were many improvements in the elapsed times and many personal bests, but from the number one qualifiers only Mogens Lund could improve on his Friday performance.

Sverre Dahl

In Top Fuel Motorcycle number one qualifier Rikard Gustafsson skipped both qualifying rounds and will not start in tomorrow’s eliminations. The Swedish rider checked his engine after Friday qualifying and found some issues. To prevent damage Gustafsson will not be racing tomorrow.

Jan Sturla Hegre

Sverre Dahl stormed to a stunning 6.03 seconds and is the number two qualifier, while yesterday’s number two, Jan Sturla Hegre, dropped into the number three position. Reigning EDRS Pro Nordic champion Thomas Pettersson is the number four qualifier.

Robert Karlsson

In Pro Stock Motorcycle the number one qualifier Kalle Lyrén will also not be able to take part in eliminations after his Friday crash.

Kenneth Holmberg

Robert Karlsson stayed in the number two position, while Kenneth Holmberg improved to 7.11 seconds and is the new number three qualifier. Yesterday’s number three, Timo Savolainen, improved to 7.15 seconds but dropped into fourth position.

Roman Sixta

In Super Twin Motorcycle Tommy Grimes couldn’t improve on his Friday performance, but his 6.41 seconds from yesterday was enough to stay in the number one position. Roman Sixta improved to 6.65 seconds and is the new number two qualifier, with Petri Mattsson with his Friday elapsed time (6.73 seconds) in third position.

Petri Mattsson

Svein Olaf Rolfstad jumped into the number four position with Greger Johansson in fifth position. Samu Kemppainen, the reigning EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Twin Motorcycle champion had some problems again and is the number eight qualifier, just enough to be in tomorrow’s eliminations.

Mogens Lund

There were many and major improvements in Super Street Bike. In the last qualifying run Robert Nilsson improved to 7.12 seconds to take over the number one position from Mogens Lund.
