The Tierp Internationals had it all

The EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship kicked off the 2017 season with the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena, and what a season opener it was. Drama, close racing, surprising winners in several categories, and last but not least, great weather conditions after the rain plagued 2016 season. The qualifying and eliminations results were published on the Dragracingeurope.com website during the event, and all details can always be reviewed in the excellent live coverage on Eurodragster.com. Anders Hörnström, Thomas Olsen, Peter Andersson and Mogens Lund winners at EDRS Pro Nordic MC round 1 at Tierp Arena

Anders Hörnström raced to victory in Super Twin Motorcycle at the season-opening Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena. In the final the Swede defeated Greger Johansson. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Thomas Lysebraate Olsen surprised in the final by defeating number two qualifier Robert Karlsson. There was an even bigger surprise in Top Fuel Motorcycle where Peter Andersson defeated Sverre Dahl in the final. Mogens Lund from Denmark was both quick and consistent and was the winner in Super Street Bike at the first round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. Continue reading

Friday leaders Tommy Grimes, Rikard Gustafsson, Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund stay in the number one position after final qualifying for the Tierp Internationals

 There were no changes in the names of the number one qualifiers after Saturday qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena. So in Top Fuel Motorcycle Rikard Gustafsson claimed the number one position for tomorrow’s eliminations, while in Super Twin Motorcycle, Pro Stock Motorcycle and Super Street Bike Tommy Grimes, Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund also stayed in the number one position and will lead their respective categories into tomorrow’s eliminations.
