For the third race of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship the riders and teams will visit their third different country and third different race track. Halfway through the season it’s time for the traditional Drag Challenge at the famous Gardermoen Raceway. And already before the first wheel turns, this year’s edition of the Norwegian race will be a historic one. If everything goes as planned, it’s the last Drag Challenge on the old record setting track, as next year’s race will also see the official opening of the new state-of-the-art Gardermoen Raceway.  Continue reading →

The Nitro Nationals at the Alastaro Circuit in Finland was run under hot conditions with temperatures around 33 degrees celcius during qualifaying. The track was very tricky in the heat and all Pro classes had difficulties to get down to the finish line. The Beast Team was no exception and after severe traction problems Per Bengtsson was able to produce a 6,90-213 mph run in the fourth session and ended up as no 2 qualifayer in the Super Twin Bike class after Samu Kemppainen who was no 1 with 6,71.  Continue reading →

The contrast couldn’t have been any bigger. After the cold and rain at the opening round at Tierp Arena, there were almost tropical conditions at the second round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Alastaro. In bright sunshine the Finnish fans enjoyed a full programme of four qualifying runs, full eliminations and the traditional Finnish prize giving ceremony with the winners going head first into a water barrel. Samu Kemppainen, Robert Karlsson and Dag Wagenius took this tradition for granted, as the race winners now also lead the championship in their respective categories.   Continue reading →
