The Nitro Nationals at the Alastaro Circuit in Finland was run under hot conditions with temperatures around 33 degrees celcius during qualifaying. The track was very tricky in the heat and all Pro classes had difficulties to get down to the finish line. The Beast Team was no exception and after severe traction problems Per Bengtsson was able to produce a 6,90-213 mph run in the fourth session and ended up as no 2 qualifayer in the Super Twin Bike class after Samu Kemppainen who was no 1 with 6,71.

The track improved for Sundays eliminations and in the first round Bengtsson was up against Asko Määttä who suffered an engine explosion right at the hit handling the win to Bengtsson. With a bye-run in the semi Per went for lane choice but lost traction with high rpm as a result which caused the exhaust valves to hit the pistons. Despite a very short turn around time between the semi and the final round The Beast Team managed to get to the startline just in time for the finals against no 1 qualifayer Samu Kemppainen. In the final Samu produced another 6.7 second pass and got the the finish line first as Per got slightly out of the groove at halftrack.

With a Runner Up finish in Finland Per Bengtsson holds the no 2 spot in the EDRS Nordic Pro Motorcycle Championship series with 116 points after the event winner Samu Kemppainen who leads the series with 151 points.

The next race in the EDRS NMC Championship is the Drag Challenge at Gardermoen Raceway in Norway the 31:st of July-2:nd of August.
