Sverre Dahl, Samu Kemppainen, Robert Karlsson and Richard Stubbins provisional leaders after day one at Tierp Internationals
With a new personal best of 6.13 seconds, Sverre Dahl is the leader in Top Fuel Motorcycle after the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena, the first round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. In Super Twin Motorcycle Samu Kemppainen was in a class of his own and is the provisional leader. Robert Karlsson surprised in Pro Stock Motorcycle with 7.04 seconds to take the lead, while in Super Street Bike Richard Stubbins is number one qualifier.
Great weather and perfect track conditions at Tierp Arena at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the first round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship.
In Top Fuel Motorcycle Jan Sturla Hegre was number one qualifier after the first run. But in the second qualifying session Sverre Dahl powered to a stunning 6.13 seconds, a new personal best and good enough to be the new number one. Peter Andersson-Ström took over the provisional number two spot.
In Super Twin Motorcycle Samu Kemppainen was the only one to break the 7-second barrier and did in a great way with a stunning 6.502 seconds. Reigning EDRS champion Hans Olav Olstad is second after day one and Vidar Ravnsborg third.
Pro Stock Motorcycle was extremely close and fast. Leader after the first run was Anders Larsson. But in the second run Robert Karlsson upset the far more experienced Pro Stock riders with a stunning 7.049 seconds, and took the lead. Larsson improve to 7.07 and is second, while Kalle Lyrén had to change an engine after run one, but is third with 7.09 seconds.
The British competitors rule in Super Street Bike. Santa Pod Main Event winner Richard Stubbins is number one qualifier (7.16 seconds) and Alex Hope (7.39) second. In third place Anders Blanck (7.57) and Nils-Ola Andersson fourth.
Qualifying for the Tierp Internationals continues Saturday with another two sessions.
