EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship ready for round two at Alastaro

Only one week to go and at Alastaro Circuit in Finland the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship will have its second race of the season. After a great qualifying battle, eliminations were rained out at Tierp Arena, so all riders are looking forward to a restart of the championship, including full eliminations at the last year resurfaced and great Finnish track. At Tierp, Sverre Dahl, Samu Kemppainen, Robert Karlsson and Richard Stubbins were the number one qualifiers, but who will shine in Finland?  Continue reading

Alastaro Circuit, the place to be for Finnish drag race fans

Alastaro Circuit is the second stop for the riders and teams of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. With a racetrack, rally cross track and dragstrip, Alastaro is a multipurpose motorsport facility and very important for Finnish motorsport. But in the first weekend of July, with the FHRA Nitro Nationals, it’s all about drag racing at Alastaro. Teams and fans are looking forward to visit this special place. Asko Määttä in full swing for home race at Alastaro

Finnish Super Twin Motorcycle racer Asko Määttä had to cancel his entry for the Tierp Internationals. Only a few days before the race, Baldie’s VooDoo Racing found out the engine explosion they suffered in a test run had also damaged the crankshaft. The Finnish team had no other choice then to skip the first round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship in Sweden. But at their home track Alastaro, at the FHRA Nitro Nationals, Määttä will be back in competition.  Continue reading
