With Kenneth Holmberg and Mogens Lund two regular EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship riders travelled all the way to England to race at the Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway. Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Holmberg reset his personal best to 7.157 seconds, but pulled a red light in the first round of eliminations.

Less than two weeks prior to the opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena, Kenneth Holmberg travelled to Santa Pod Raceway in England for his first race of the season. In the eleven bike Pro Stock Motorcycle field the Swecomposite rider was fourth in qualifying with a new personal best of 7.27 seconds (was 7.29).

In the first round of eliminations the Swede had to face local hero Alex Hope. In a stunning run the clock stopped after 7.157 seconds, a great new personal best and much better than the 7.48 seconds of Hope. But Holmberg had pulled a 0.0017 (!) red light and was out of competition. However this great new personal best will raise Holmberg’s confidence for the race at Tierp Arena next week. And what a coincidence, Hope will travel to Tierp too and will start with his second bike in Super Street Bike.

Mogens Lund

Mogens Lund from Denmark was at Santa Pod too. In the extremely competitive sixteen bike Super Street Bike field Lund ended up seventh (7.44 seconds) in qualifying. Lund’s race stopped in the first round of eliminations when he had to face Jemma Venables. Lund will be at Tierp but as he combines two series he can’t do all EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Street Bike races. The riders in the EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Street Bike class will meet tough competition at Tierp as Main Event winner Richard Stubbins is also on the entry list for the first race of the championship.
