Thomas Pettersson, Tommy Lee Grimes, Mathias Bohlin and Kalle Lyrén Friday leaders at Tierp Arena

Tommy Lee Grimes stormed to a great 6.31 seconds to claim the provisional number one qualifying position in Super Twin Motorcycle at the first day of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, the fourth and final round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. In Super Street Bike Mathias Bohlin impressed with a great 7.01 seconds to secure the provisional number one qualifying spot, while in Pro Stock Motorcycle Kalle Lyrén ran a great 7.00 seconds to claim the number one position after the first day of qualifying. Thomas Pettersson took the lead in the Top Fuel Motorcycle category with still one day of qualifying runs to go.

Because of a long rain break, it was after 8 PM when racing was finished at the once again excellent prepared Tierp Arena track at the first day of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals.

In Super Twin Motorcycle Tommy Lee Grimes impressed with a great 6.31 seconds to claim the provisional number one qualifying position. Samu Kemppainen is second after day one with 6.66 seconds, with Harri Piensalmi third and Roman Sixta fourth.

In Super Street Bike Mathias Bohlin stormed to a great 7.01 seconds to claim the provisional number one qualifying position.

Ida Zetterström, the number two in the championship, recorded a great 7.10 seconds and is in second position, with championship leader Vesa Ruhanen third and Anders Blanck fourth.

Kalle Lyrén was in a class if his own in Pro Stock Motorcycle as the Swedish former champion recorded a great 7.00 seconds to claim the provisional number one qualifying position, with Kenneth Holmberg second.

In Top Fuel Motorcycle reigning champion Thomas Pettersson recorded 6.65 seconds to finish the first day in the number one position. Jan Sturla Hegre is second and Peter Andersson third.

Super Comp Bike and Super Gas Bike had their first qualifying run on Thursday and after today’s runs Emil Östlund is the leader in Super Comp Bike with Peter Olsen in second position. Juha Komulainen is leading Super Gas Bike, with Jari Pehkola in second position.

Qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, round four of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship continues on Saturday.
