Rikard Gustafsson, Hans Olav Olstad, Thomas Olsen and Mogens Lund leaders after Friday qualifying at Tierp Internationals

Rikard Gustafsson stormed to a stunning 5.84 seconds to claim the number one qualifying position in Top Fuel Motorcycle at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. In Super Twin Motorcycle Hans Olav Olstad claimed the number one qualifying position, while in Super Street Bike Mogens Lund stormed to a 6.98 seconds personal best to lead his category after two runs. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Thomas Lysebraate Olsen is the leader after Friday qualifying.

Sunny and great weather conditions at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, round one of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at the state-of-the-art drag racing facility of Tierp Arena. The great weather and track conditions made it possible to record great elapsed times in almost all categories.

Rikard Gustafsson stormed to a stunning 5.84 seconds to claim the number one qualifying position in Top Fuel Motorcycle.

Sverre Dahl also impressed with 5.92 seconds in his first run, but as the Norwegian rider couldn’t improve on his earlier performance, he ended the first day of qualifying in second position.

In Super Twin Motorcycle Hans Olav Olstad only needed one run to take the lead as the Norwegian rider recorded a great elapsed time of 6.31 seconds in his first run.

Marcus Christiansen is the number two qualifier with 6.47 seconds, while Anders Hörnström impressed as well with a great 6.50 seconds.

Former champion Samu Kemppainen is fourth with 6.65 seconds. With six riders in the 6-second zone and many personal bests, Super Twin Motorcycle will once again be very exciting this weekend.

In Super Street Bike Mogens Lund from Denmark is the leader with his first 6-second run. The reigning EDRS Pro Nordic MC champion stormed to a stunning 6.98 seconds.

Vesa Ruhanen from Finland impressed as well by claiming the second qualifying position with 7.12 seconds. Anders Blanck is third (7.42 seconds) and Alex Hope fourth.

In Pro Stock Motorcycle reigning champion Thomas Lysebraate Olsen claimed the number one spot in 7.17 seconds, with Kenneth Holmberg in second position.

In Super Comp Bike Anders Gerdtsson is the leader with Peter Svensson in second position. In Super Gas Bike Jani Blom is the leader with reigning champion Iiro Reinola in second position.

Qualifying for the Tierp Inernationals continues Saturday.
